"Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer." Romans 12:12
*Welcome to the Conference Grounds prayer page. We hope to keep this page updated with praises and requests so that you will know how to pray for the ministry of the CRCG. The most important thing you can do is pray! The Conference Grounds has been blessed in so many ways over the past 60 years and we give God all the glory. By praying, you can be a vital part of the ministry of the Grounds and join God in his work.
Praises
*We are praising God for a great Children's Week! The Lake has been so warm and we praise God that we can spend lots of time enjoying His beautiful creation!
* Staff Housing is complete. The girls have moved in. Rest cottage is also complete.
Praise God for His goodness and greatness!
*Praise God that Don and Rebecca Shampine are doing well after their surgeries. It is so good to see them come in for ice cream and to swim at the pool or the beach. Praising God for their recoveries thus far.
Requests
*Please pray for Don Kuiper and family as Carol was called to her heavenly home early on July 10. From Carol's Care Page: "We are thankful that her fight with pancreatic cancer is over. In her life and in her death, the grace of God was always evident."
* Pray for safety and great family times for our campers this summer. Also pray they will experience God through all the programs that are available. Ask God to do His great work in everyone of our campers this summer.
*Eileen Wiersma entered heaven on Thursday, August 5. Please pray for Eileen's family: Beth who enters Calvin College in a few weeks, Andrew as he continues his studies at Calvin, and for Daniel and Jenna as they plan their wedding. Also keep Mark in your prayers as he returns to Ypsilanti to continue in his teaching position.
*Lisa Dykstra, from one of our camping families, and has completed her chemo regimen. She will remain on the experimental drug for a while longer. She still tires with excessive exertion, but is feeling much stronger. Praise God for the continued support of Lisa and her family from her church family.
* Please pray for the Conference Grounds campfire ministry as the Township continues to review changes to the ordinance.
