Yes, I’m heading back to the trail for a couple weeks to hike with some of my fellow through hikers from this summer ( Lucky Boy & Gringo Loco). I hope to catch up with them by the New Jersey / Pennsylvania border and hike Pennsylvania, Maryland, and stop at Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, which is the half way point of the trail. Provided I am able to complete this section I will have hiked about 800 miles. I will have missed the second half of Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey which is about 300 miles of the northern half of the trail. I plan to hike that section in September and October of 2019 as a section hiker. I hope to complete the entire AT trail over the next five years as a section hiker, provided my physical health is good.

Since I came home Labor Day weekend I have gained back 15 lbs of the 25 I had lost. My knees have recovered (not sore went I walk) and my elbows have healed. I hope to hike about 12-14 miles a day from October 2 to the 20th on much easier terrain than I experienced in Maine and New Hampshire. Brenda will be bringing out to Pennsylvania along with Lori Insley. Brenda and Lori, after dropping me off, will visit Lori’s daughters, Annie and Kami, who go to Messiah college, in Boiling Springs, Pennsylvania. I plan to be back at the Grounds by October 22 for Fall Harvest Festival, October 24-28.

Brenda and I continue to covet your prayers as I continue my Appalachian trail journey.
