I hope that our Conference Grounds family continues to be safe and healthy! Our ministry team continues to be well and is preparing the Grounds for another Summer season. We are on week number 7 of being closed to cottage use and facility rentals. We continue to have many visitors and community members who come into the Grounds for their recreational walks and to check out our beach. Yes, like I mentioned last week we have a beach and it’s currently bigger than last year! We continue to be hopeful of a summer season and all the activities that families come to enjoy!
We have cancelled our first Senior Serve week , May 5-8, and all reservations up to Friday May 15, due to the current executive order. We are hoping to be open for Memorial Day weekend, May 22-25, though it will be with some changes for the safety and protection of our campers and ministry team. Depending on the next executive order we will learn if worship services will be permitted (highly unlikely for the size of our Sunday worship). We have cancelled our Memorial Day concert, May 25, with the Voices of Victory. We are planning to have our second Senior Serve week scheduled for May 26 to May 30. We continue to take camping reservations for the summer season and have openings for most weeks except June 27 to July 4, July 25 to August 1, and August 1-8. For those families who purchase our summer pool passes they will be available to purchase starting, Friday, May 15. Our administrative office is open Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 4:30 pm. We are closed on Saturday and Sunday.
We appreciate your prayers and support as we continue to navigate the challenges and impacts of COVID-19. Let’s be joyful as we look forward with hope, patient and caring as we go through our daily challenges, and faithful in our prayers to our awesome God who has us in His hands!
